In Loving Memory of My Brother David Crawford Roberts April 19,1960 - November 9, 2006
David C. Roberts of Oroville, California Passed away November 9 2006 during a fatal house fire. He was forty six years old. David and Jonathan were born as twins on April 19, 1960 in Murray, Utah to Crawford and Tessie Roberts while Tessie was traveling home to Elko Nevada. The boys were born four weeks early to a mother who had no idea she was expecting twins. Upon their delivery they were named after David and Jonoathan of the Bible in honor of enduring love the story represented. It proved to be true for the Roberts twins as well. Jonathan clearly stated that he entered this world conncected to his best friend. It was a friendship and brotherhood that endured through their lives of forty-six years. David attended Pioneer Elementry school, and then Quincy Jr-Sr High School. He Participated in little league, Scouts, and normal Child activities. In High School he excelled in wrestling and won many awards in the Northern California Division. David graduated from High School in 1979. Upon graduation David immediately accepted a job with Union Pacific Railroad working the Maintenance and ways Division. He continued with the Railroad for twenty-seven years prior to his passing. David was loved by his family for his generosity, loyalty, work ethic, and soft spoken nature. david also loved his dogs Rocky and Moose who remained loyal to him to the end. The dogs passed away by his side in the fire. David is survived by his twin brother Jonathan, his parents Crawford and Tessie Roberts, His Brothers Fon Roberts and Matthew Roberts. He is also survived by his sisters Camille Carter, Tessie Langford, Rebecca Welling, and Mary Gabbitas. He is aslo remembered by his stepson Tucker Townsend. |
